Episode 1.6. In Which I Remark Upon The Earth
Every now and again, the Earth wants to remind us who really is in charge. Oh, and her partner Weather Woman.
Because I have humans who are near and dear to me in the areas in which Mummy lets us know she's in charge, I have understandable concerns. But what is to be done?
Nothing.
Really. There is nothing you can do about earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, anything that is that part of our physical World, because we are not in control. And that is a very, very good thing. Because it keeps us in our place, although we are shocked (shocked I tell you!) that we are in the position of the receiver rather than the dealer. How sad. How irate we become!
No, actually, it's just part of our tenure on the planet. Weather comes and goes, sometimes it's really mind-boggling, most times a temporary inconvenience. It shall pass.
But the big warnings? The ones that remind you that you have no control over this blue globe that we are permitted to live on? That scientists have seen worlds that may have been like ours come and go and....... yup--that's all folks. Boom. Gone.
So. The parts that we can take care of, that is exactly what we need to do. Focus on your concept of Eternity and where you think you might fit in...if that appeals to you. Recognize that the humans in your family are the strings of blood that tie you to this Earth. That's because in the Cosmic sense we are here for the blink of an eye. Keep those familial humans in your constant peripheral vision, treat them with respect, love and humor. They won't, and you won't, be here forever.
